Kevin Costner stars in the new, television series, “Yellowstone.” Filmed in Darby, Montana, among other places, the show is said to be a “postcard for Montana,” per the article in the Ravalli Republic entitled, “Costner hosts Bullock on the set of ‘Yellowstone.’”
Using a real log cabin, footage in the local area, and even bringing in a bear and a few wolves, the show is set to capture the true essence of Montana.
Taylor Sheridan, the writer and director, started creating the project in 2013 in Livingston, Montana. And according to the Paramount website, the show follows John Dutton and his family as they defend their large ranch against “land developers, an Indian reservation and America’s first National Park.”
“Yellowstone” is set to air on the Paramount Network in June 2018.
Just like “A River Runs Through It,” directed by Robert Redford and starring Brad Pitt, which was filmed in The Bitterroot Valley, “Yellowstone” will bring new awareness to this beautiful area.
