The Missoula Marathon Is Coming Soon!

Full Training in Progress

http://www.missoulamarathon.org/

Join us for The Missoula Marathon

Warmer weather is here, and now I can get outside to train for he Missoula Marathon. As many of you know, it’s the first time I’m taking part in this great, community event as a Half-Marathon runner.

While it’s a popular event in the local region, it’s also a fantastic way for outsiders to get a taste of true Montana, see the countryside and get to know the locals. And, it’s not too late to register.

What Do You Need to Know About The Missoula Marathon?

The event starts at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018, and registration is now open to the first, 1,500 participants. And if you register before June 15th, you’ll save $15.00 on the entry fee. It’s now $112.00 and jumps to $127.00 June 16, 2018.

It’s a flat course, but it has a pretty big hill at the halfway point. You’ll start with a scenic, countryside route. Then, you’ll finish in Downtown Missoula. The course is marked well, and it’s even a Boston Marathon Qualifier and USATF-certified race.

And if you don’t want to run the entire marathon, you can run the half-marathon like I’m doing.

The Half-Marathon starts at 6:00 a.m. on July 15th as well, and the cost is $102.00 until June 15th. Then, registration jumps up to $117.00. This, too, is a flat course that’s fast and USATF-certified. It will take you past the scenic countryside, along the river, and end in Downtown Missoula as well.

It’s a Family Event!

And don’t forget to take your kids! The Missoula Kids Marathon is for kids 13 and under and happens on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. It starts at Clark Fork River Trail in Downtown Missoula.

The cost is $10.00 with scholarships available. The race is non-competitive, non-timed and includes “a combination of a logging marathon and a one-mile fun run for children ages.” All kids get a t-shirt, race number, medal, and goodie bag just for finishing! For more information, see all the details here.

Will You Be Joining Me?
